I grew up in Sugar Land and graduated from Kempner HS. I then went on to study business at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. After working in marketing for a clothing company in NY for a few years, I decided to pursue a degree in teaching because I wanted to directly impact students and make a difference in their lives. I obtained a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Teachers College, Columbia University. From there, I moved to Taiwan to teach middle school English at a small international school for four years. Then I moved to a larger international school in Seoul, South Korea, and I taught 9th grade English there for two years. I took a year off after the birth of my first child, and after that, I took on a writing/editing/marketing role for the school so that I could work from home. My family moved back to Sugar Land during the summer of 2019, and I decided to return to the classroom when I was offered a position at Clements. Growing up in the Sugar Land area, I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity to teach the talented students at CHS!
