I have taught at Dulles High School since 2002. I previously taught at Clements High School, and before that I lived in Montana (born and raised). I received a Masters Degree in Education from Montana State University-Billings in 2001. I completed my undergraduate work at Utah State University (GO BIG BLUE!), earning a Bachelor of Science in History, in 1995. I have been happily married since 1999, and in July 2006 our first child, David, was born. Grace, our second child, was born in June 2008. We also adopted three little kittens, Teddy, Bear, and Cally. My hobbies include fly-fishing, backpacking and reading about U.S. History. In 2011 I was part of the FBISD/Rice University Teaching American History program. During the summer of 2011 I spent two weeks taking classes at Rice University, and then traveled through Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia looking at mostly Civil War sites. It was really cool!
