DECA is an association of marketing students whose purpose is to develop leadership skills, and civic consciousness. Students enrolled in Business education have the opportunity and are encouraged to become involved in the activities of DECA.

Involvement in DECA offers students leadership training and a chance to compete in local, state, and international competitions  designed to stimulate and motivate classroom interest and vocational competence. Through DECA, students also have the opportunity to participate in social functions, meet many business leaders in the community, and to apply for scholarships which may be used to further their education for careers in marketing.
