Hello my name is Kimberly Roberts and I am excited for the new school year. I decided to leave nursing and go into education in 2016. I have been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for eight years and decided to move to the classroom. With my nursing experience I have worked in pediatrics, home health, geriatrics, and also telemetry(heart and stroke patients). In 2005 I graduated from Lamar Institute of Technology earning an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology, I also earned my Licensed Vocational Nurse degree in 2008 from Lamar State College Port Arthur, Tx and I also earned my Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in 2014 from Lamar University Beaumont, tx. Then I decided to obtain my Alternative Certification to become a health science teacher. I love being a nurse and I love healthcare and being a teacher gives me another way to get students excited about the healthcare industry.
