Coach Evelyn Torres is entering her ninth year as a Ridge Point Panther. With 169 wins (169-19-8), Torres has molded the Ridge Point Girls Soccer Program into one of the top soccer programs in Region 3. After graduating from J. Frank Dobie High School in Houston, Texas she accepted a soccer scholarship from Belhaven University. While playing for the Blazers’ women’s soccer team, in 2009 she received an NAIA honor of GCAC All-Conference player. Since graduating from Belhaven University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Business Administration, she has coached various levels of soccer experience ranging from the high school and club level. While serving as a head coach here at Ridge Point, they have clinched the 20-6A Girls' Soccer District Championship Title in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, & 2022, UIL Soccer Playoff Regional appearances in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, & 2022, and a State appearance in 2022.
Coach Torres believes “Lead with love in all that you do.” Because it’s not just about wins and losses but about the lasting impressions and relationships that you gain with the student-athletes that come through your program. It is important to show the student-athletes what truly matters.
