Bachelor's degree in English Rhetoric from Texas A&M University
Mrs. Melissa Womack
I graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2003 and from Texas A&M University in 2008. I hold a bachelor's degree in English Rhetoric.
In 2008, I began my teaching career in Killeen ISD as a seventh and eighth grade A.V.I.D. teacher and program coordinator. During 2011-2012, I was named Teacher of the Year at my campus and in the top six out of seventeen secondary teachers in KISD.
In 2012, I began teaching eighth grade English in Pearland ISD. In Pearland, I served as the NJHS sponsor and as an Academic Team Leader.
In 2014, I began teaching in Fort Bend ISD at Baines Middle School. While at Baines, I taught 7th grade and 8th grade ELA and was the first AVID program coordinator. I was aso a finalist for Teacher of the Year in 2016-2017.
Currently, I am thrilled to be a Ridge Point Panther! This year I will be teaching English IV and AVID I and look forward to creating Scholars & Champions at RPHS!
I am also in the process of gaining a masters degree in Educational Leadership-Administration from Lamar University.
