Mrs. Urmi Upadhyaya (ooh-pod-yaai)
Hello,
This is my 12th year of teaching and my 6th year here at RPHS. I love teaching geography and bringing a global perspective to freshmen. I feel that it is important for us to be aware of the dynamic world around us and do our part in creating an awareness that allows us to cultivate global citizenship. It is important to be life-long learners and I want my students to be amazed by all that is happening in our world.
I was born and raised in Chicago but I have called Houston home for the past 20 years. Aside from teaching, I enjoy baking, dancing, and exploring the world with my husband and 3 daughters. I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning! Go Panthers!

AMSCO AP Human Geography Review Book
This review book published by Perfection Learning is a great resource for the year as the material is comprehensible for the 9th grade level. There are multiple choice and short answer questions for review as well.
