08/29/2022 Fort Bend ISD learned today a student at Ridge Point High School has a confirmed case of Monkeypox. Fort Bend County Health and Human Services is investigating the case. Families and employees at Ridge Point High School were notified of the case.
Fort Bend County epidemiologists are conducting contact tracing to identify potential exposures based on proximity and will notify individuals directly if they are at risk.
The District will continue to work with local health officials and follow guidelines set by the CDC, and this includes frequent and ongoing cleaning protocols in place to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. In addition, the District utilizes R-Zero ARC disinfecting devices at every campus and facility.

School vaccination rules continue to remain in effect for the 2022-2023 school year.
- Be aware that the nurse will send an email to the parent/guardian IF your child is soon due/overdue for any required vaccines.
- All students should be up-to-date, in the process of receiving vaccines or have a valid exemption on file when school starts in the Fall.
A Registered Nurse and Licensed Vocational Nurse are assigned to each high school campus. The school nurse assists students' physical, mental and social growth by providing a health services program that assesses, evaluates and improves the health of students and staff.
