Greetings and welcome to Principles of Applied Engineering where our Engineering students make a World of difference!
This class is about providing students with a strong knowledge of the engineering design process, research and analysis, teamwork, communication methods & presentation skills, engineering standards and technical documentation. We will utilize hands-on industrial applications that transfer into real-world practical problem solving & know-how. Students will work both individually and collaboratively to develop and document design solutions using engineering notebooks & 3D Modeling software. From brain storming and working as a team to understanding the tolerances found by a caliper, students are provided with opportunities that open up career pathways beyond the classroom! Are you ready to design the future?
I received my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University while serving over fourteen years in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. The 2020-2021 school year marks my ninth year as an educator and eighth year here at Lake Olympia. I am blessed with this opportunity to engage students with a unique hands-on industrial learning experience and to teach our students about all the various career pathways the Career & Technical Education Dept. has to offer!
