Greetings and welcome to my page! 

Professional:

I am in my 3rd year here at RPHS as an Inclusion Teacher for English 2/3 and Assistant Coach for Football and Baseball.  A graduate of Wharton High School with a B.S. degree from Rice University in 1993.  Dual sport athlete while there at Rice lettering in football and baseball.  I played three seasons of Independent Professional Baseball. Spent 11 years in Non-Profit Management as the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Wharton.  First-year teaching and coaching started in Wharton, TX in 2008 as a special education  Inclusion Specialist/Co-Teacher and Assistant Football/Baseball Coach.  This year means 15 years in public education as an Inclusion Teacher/Coach.  

Personal:

Married to Tala Allen for 17 years, who is also an Educator in Houston Independent School District.  Two sons, Chance (30 yrs old) and Cody (22 yrs. old).

Hobbies:

I love to spend my off time painting, saltwater fishing, traveling, and refereeing, to name a few.  I am definitely a foodie with a drive to learn and explore new things.
