BA German Studies, UH MS Curriculum & Instruction, WGU

Mr. Due

I am proud to be a member of the Ridge Point High School team, where I teach 11th-grade U.S. History, a STAAR EOC course, and German I-IV, including AP German. Since joining Ridge Point, I’ve established and grown the German program, which now includes opportunities such as the German American Partnership Program (GAPP), promoting international exchange and cultural understanding.

Before coming to Ridge Point, I taught German and World History for ten years at Pasadena ISD, where I expanded the German program and fostered student success in language acquisition. My passion for German stems from my own experience as a high school student and exchange participant, spending my junior year in Germany and immersing myself in the language and culture. I earned my BA in German Studies from the University of Houston and later pursued an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU, ensuring my teaching practices are both rigorous and engaging.

At Ridge Point, I strive to make learning a language and history an immersive and enriching experience. My German program emphasizes not only linguistic proficiency but also cultural appreciation through extracurricular activities, competitions, and opportunities for travel abroad. In U.S. History, I focus on helping students connect past events to present-day issues, ensuring they are prepared for the STAAR EOC exam and equipped with critical thinking skills.

I am passionate about fostering global awareness and a love for learning in all my students, whether through exploring American history or navigating the German language and culture.
