Tricia Rios

Welcome Panthers!

My name is Tricia Rios, and I joined RPHS in 2020. I teach 11th grade English and AP Language.  I have been in education for over 15 years. I have experience as an English teacher, Campus Improvement Specialist/Assessment Coordinator, and school counselor.  I am so excited about this upcoming school year. I strive to be a positive influence in my students’ lives and help to develop a love of learning in my students. I am an extremely positive person and I love working with students!

I am also a product of FBISD. I graduated from Clements High School. I played tennis at Texas Tech University on a tennis scholarship.  I am a huge Texas Tech fan! I have two beautiful daughters.  My older daughter graduated from Texas Tech with her BS in Nursing. My younger daughter is in 9th grade.

I am extremely active and love anything outdoors. Running is my passion. I have run numerous marathons, and I have done one 50-mile ultramarathon run.  My older daughter has run two marathons with me!  My younger daughter enjoys tennis. I also love reading and listening to books on Audible.   Most of the books that I read are non-fiction books about ultrarunners or about athletes overcoming adversity.

I am so excited about this school year!
