Purpose: To encourage participation in and the recognition of science, to advance student knowledge of classic and modern science, to communicate with the scientific community, to aid the community with its comprehension of science, and to encourage students to participate in community service.
Requirements: As a JUNIOR (11th grade): Must have COMPLETED at least 2 Pre-AP sciences and ENROLLED in an AP science class. Must have maintained an 85 or higher for all Pre-AP science courses (Pre-AP Biology, Pre-AP Chemistry).
* Any sophomore meeting these requirements is eligible to apply.
As a SENIOR (12th grade): Must have COMPLETED at least 2 Pre-AP and 1 AP science. Must be ENROLLED in a 2nd AP science class. Must have maintained an 85 or higher for all Pre-AP science courses ((Pre-AP Biology, Pre-AP Chemistr). And an 80 or above in all AP science courses(AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C)
*Once inducted as a member, the above standards must be maintained as well as completion of service hours.
