Hello! My name is Kimberly Cain. I am a teacher in the Social Studies Department and currently teach Pre-AP World Geography and AP Human Geography. This will be my 9th year at Travis High School and my 16th year in education. Prior to joining the Travis High School team, I was a teacher in Fort Bend at Hightower and Marshall High Schools. I also spent two years living and teaching English in Japan.
I am proud to be a graduate of Texas A&M University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Geography. I was a member of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the National Geography Honor Society.
I have been married for 14 years to my husband who is also a teacher. We have two beautiful daughters. One is beginning 4th grade and the other 1st grade at Neill Elementary. My husband and I, and now our girls, love to travel and explore new places. Last summer, we were finally able to return to Japan after ten years. We were fortunate enough to be able to take our daughters with us to experience and appreciate the beautiful scenery and culture of Japan.
I am the teacher facilitator for the Global Studies Academy and sponsor for the Model UN Club.
I love being a Travis Tiger. We really are a family - with the most amazing students and staff!
I love the Global Studies Academy and the opportunity it affords me to teach students who are globally minded!
I am so excited to meet all of my new students this year!
Today, and always, It's a GREAT day to be a Travis Tiger!
