I'm a proud product of Fort Bend ISD where I attended Townewest Elementary, Sugar Land Middle School (we called it "junior high" way back then), Clements High School (as a freshman before KHS was built), and Kempner High School. Wow, has Sugar Land grown! I have the great fortune to have two children who now attend Fort Bend ISD schools. I have taught in Fort Bend for more than fifteen years. It's very exciting to teach where I went to school!
I really enjoy teaching, reading, and discussing history. I currently teach AP European History and have most recently moved to on-level World Hisotry. I have taught all levels of World History and look forward to put all that I have put together teaching AP to other World History students. I will continue teaching European History and look forward to sharing my reading experience with all my students. I have read for the College Board on the AP World History exams in 2014, 2016, and 2017. These reading experiences have provided invaluable experience that I can share with my students as they learn how to craft historical arguments where they use their historical knowledge repertoire to defend these arguments. It’s an exciting adventure that I look forward to sharing with my students this year!
