Howdy!!  I'm excited to be teaching Biology at Travis High School this year!  A little bit about me! 

I am entering my 19th year in teaching!  My teacher journey spans from middle school for my first 10 years and 9 years at high school. During this time I have taught (in order) girls/boys P.E., Health, 8th grade science, 6th grade science, 7th grade science, and Biology while at the high school level for 9 years. I coached for 18 years and that includes middle school volleyball, basketball, soccer, and track.  At the high school level I coached volleyball and track.  I loved all of my experiences coaching but have transitioned out of it and am focusing on the classroom!!

I am from Killeen, Texas, graduating from Killeen High School in 1997.  I am class of 2001 at Texas A&M University graduating with a B.S. in Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise Physiology.  I attended University of Texas at Austin to receive my Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification in Physical Education in 2005 and started teaching in 2006.

I enjoy spending time with my family (my daughter is an incoming freshman this year!), gardening, reading, playing Candy Crush, Yelping, etc...
