Mr. Rene Casallas

Hello! My name is Mr. Casallas, and this is my first year teacning English at GBHS! Prior to teaching at GBHS I was teaching English in Madrid, Spain, for 2 years in their public school system. I received my bachelors degree from Sam Houston State University and worked for the Houston Public Library as a youth librarian for 4 years before I decided to become a teacher. I'm excited to be back in the US and happy to be a part of the team at GBHS. I love reading and strive to encourage and strengthen enthusiasm for reading with my students.
