BA Music Education K-12

Mrs. Marina Monsivais

MUSIC EDUCATOR

With 24 years of experience in education, including 16 years dedicated to teaching music and 8 years of specialized experience teaching the visually impaired, I am passionate about fostering a love for music literacy among my students. I grew up in South Texas, where I developed a love for choral music. This inspired me to pursue a BA in Music Education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas.

I believe in the powerful connections that can be created through choral experience, which brings students together in a shared musical journey, fostering teamwork, and a sense of community. My goal is to instill a lifelong appreciation for music, whether my students pursue it professionally or enjoy it as a fulfilling part of their lives. I strive to make music accessible, understandable, and enjoyable for every student I teach.
