Ms. Marina Perez
MUSIC EDUCATOR
I bring 25 years of experience in education, including 17 years as a music educator and 8 years of specialized instruction for students with visual impairments. I am deeply passionate about cultivating music literacy and helping students develop both confidence and joy through musical understanding.
Raised in South Texas, I discovered my love for choral music at an early age—a passion that led me to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas.
I believe strongly in the transformative power of the choral experience. Singing together fosters meaningful connections, teamwork, and a strong sense of community among students. My goal is to instill a lifelong appreciation for music, whether students choose to pursue it professionally or simply carry it with them as a meaningful and enriching part of their lives. I strive to make music accessible, understandable, and enjoyable for every student I teach.
