Hello Bronco Nation! 

I'm Ms. Powell, and I am excited to be returning for my second year at GBHS.

Proficiency is powerful, which is why my initiative is to cultivate confidence and skillfulness in all areas of English Language Arts. My appreciation for writing and reading first set me on the path to education, but knowing my impact has given me a much greater purpose as an educator. My philosophy is to center my teaching around establishing a strong foundation of literacy. Each day, students will practice reading, writing, and critical thinking; incorporating these skills into a daily routine equips students with tools for life!
