I'm a Houston native, born and raised. I graduated from Westfield High School where I earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Central Florida to play basketball. I played all four years and earned a Hospitality Management degree hoping to pursue culinary school and become a chef. While working in restaurants as a manager, I fell in love with a family who had a daughter with autism and grew very close with the family. This led me to teaching while coaching my own organization. Wanting to have the best of both worlds, I was led onto the path of working in special education while continuing to coach. 

I've been in education for a total of 13 years, teaching in Texas 9 years, and entering into year 4 of being a head coach for girls' basketball.
