Hey Bronco Family! I’m Ms. McGruder, and I teach Resource English I & II here at Bush HS. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Stephen F. Austin State University and my Master’s in Instructional Leadership from Sam Houston State University. With seven years of experience, most of which were spent teaching elementary school, I’m excited to bring my passion for education to the high school level for the second year.

I’m a mother to a two-year-old son, and I cherish every moment pouring my heart into our time together each day.

Children are my passion, and I love giving them a fresh start every time they walk through the door. I’ve designed my classroom to feel like home, providing a safe space where students always feel welcome. As a special education case manager, I take pride in making a meaningful impact on students' lives, both in and out of the classroom.

I believe empathy and patience are crucial in special education. I see each student as an individual with unique challenges that need tailored support. Patience helps me provide the time and nurturing needed for their growth and learning.
