2026 Summer School Info

Remedial Summer School Registration is May 11 - June 1, 2026. If your student failed a course and wants to recover credit during the summer, there is a fee that parents must pay for the course. Please contact the teacher to confirm the course will be needed. If so, please contact the counselor for the registration process.

Cost for Remedial Credit is $200 ($125 for Reduced Lunch status, $100 Free Lunch status). Registration May 11 - June 1, 2026.

**All summer courses (FBISD face to face, online,and External Provider) must be complete by the last day of FBISD summer school, July 23, 2026. No exceptions, per the district.** 

**HCC Dual credit courses must be completed by August 9, 2026. **

• FBISD External Providers
  • UT High School - ONLY two credits for the entire high school years OR
  • Texas Tech University (TTU) - ONLY two credits for the entire high school years
  • Texas School Virtual Network (TXVSN) - unlimited  courses can be taken

• Students must receive approval from their school counselor PRIOR to registering and completing any external provider. If approval is not given, the counselor will deny the credit earned.

• Any student who takes a course via an external provider for a core sequence must complete that course (including receiving a grade report) before the counselor can place into the next level course. The course must be completed by the beginning of the school year.
