Welcome to The Dawghouse! I am enthusiastically delighted to be the lead counselor here at Stephen F. Austin High School, “Home of the Bulldogs!”
I began my journey in education in 1995 and my first year in counseling was 2006. I am a proud “two-time” Historically Black College and University (HBCU) graduate. I have held various positions ranging from teacher, counselor (all levels), college/career readiness coordinator, and assistant principal. I absolutely love the land of “education” as it lends itself to so many career paths and opportunities. Think about it, every person in any career field has come through a classroom for education.
When I am not hard at work, I enjoy working out, cooking/baking, gardening (plants), spending time with family, zip lining, and so much more. I have a bucket list to visit all 50 states at least once and then venture out to the 7 continents. I thoroughly enjoy cruises and traveling. I have one adult son (love him to pieces) and my yorkie, Sonny. :)
