• About Mu Alpha Theta

    Mu Alpha Theta is a National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society.

    It is based at the University of Oklahoma and has been in existence since 1957.

    Mu Alpha Theta is dedicated to inspiring an interest in mathematics and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics through fellowship and contests.

    There are six mini-competitions held throughout the year that are generated from the Texas Math League.

    We also host a mini-matheletes competition in the Spring for 4th and 5th grade students.

    We attend two major competitions, one in the Fall at Texas A&M University, and one in the Spring at the University of Houston.

    We offer several social events throughout the year and require our members to volunteer their services through tutoring and helping math teachers with various duties.

    We have meetings every other Monday starting at 3:00 pm with makeup meetings the next morning at 7:00 am.
