Welcome to Business Information Management.  My name is Phyllis Dallas--Morris and I have been at Austin High School since the 2016 school year.  I am truly honored to be at a campus that has such high-performing, highly-engaged students.  I serve several hats here at AHS, including supporting the campus by serving as the DECA Advisor, coaching the Freshman Volleyball and JV Basketball teams.

I am from a large family 3 brothers and 5 sisters, all from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Louisville, where I attended on a full Basketball Scholarship and attained my BS Degree in Economics, as well as attaining an AA Degree in Accounting.  I am married to Christopher Morris, a former NBA player, with two beautiful children, including my daughter Alleah, who is a Grad Student athlete at  Stephen F Austin  University playing Volleyball and getting her Masters Degree, and my son Terrell, who currently works at Bush HS in their Sped Dept.  I am extremely passionate about CTE instruction and sharing real-world applications with my students. 

Prior to education, I worked with young people at Houston Parks and Recreation for over 15 years, where I served in several capacities, with my most recent position prior to teaching being the Asst Regional Manager for Northwest Community Centers. I also created my own Non-Profit Organization, Houstonians Youth Basketball, where I used basketball as a vehicle to help youth realize their goals and pathways to college and professional basketball, along with broadening opportunities in various business functions.  I really focus on bringing in the lessons learned through my business experience into the classroom and providing students with an opportunity to apply what they learn in my class.  I am thankful for the opportunities to work with your students each day and I look forward to a successful year. We will prevail and be victorious.
