Mr. Antonio Ibarra

After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in December 2016, I began my career teaching 10th grade English at Morton Ranch HS in Katy ISD. I taught students of all learning levels, including English language learners and pre-AP students, before eventually accepting a position at Austin High School in 2021. Since then, I have enjoyed teaching freshmen and sophomores of varying levels, and I have truly appreciated the diversity that our school (and district) offers.

As part of my teaching philosophy, I am dedicated to instilling a profound appreciation for core skills that are essential for students' future academic and personal success. Central to this philosophy is the emphasis on critical thinking and resilience. Through my teaching, I strive to create an environment where students feel supported and empowered to take intellectual risks, embrace challenges, and develop these fundamental skills. By doing so, I hope students leave my classroom empowered to take on any future challenges!
