Hello! My name is Shenetra, and I am thrilled to be joining the Austin High School community. I have been a science educator for many years, working with students from grade levels 6-12.  My passion lies in creating a supportive and engaging classroom where all students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to grow.

I've earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Integrative and Organismal Biological Sciences, a Master's degree in Secondary Education, a Master's degree in Administration and Supervision, and am currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have continued to grow professionally through ongoing learning and collaboration. Whether teaching science(s) or supporting students' social-emotional development, I believe in building strong relationships and encouraging curiosity, resilience, and lifelong learning.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy crafting, cooking, volunteering, or spending time with family. I’m excited to be part of this vibrant school and look forward to partnering with families and colleagues to support every student’s success.
