Hello! I have been at Austin High School since 2019, and I love being a part of the Bulldog family. I have a degree in English-Creative Writing and a Minor in Sociology from the University of Missouri in Columbia. Right after college, I joined the work force as an editorial assistant for a publishing house in Virginia, and ended up taking a year abroad in Japan to teach conversational English. I loved it so much, I decided I wanted to continue a career in education in my hometown, Houston. Twenty years later, I am still here and still loving it. I've taught English for 8th grade through 12th grade, and I am passionate about intentional and meaningful vertical alignment between grade levels. When I'm not at school, I love to find adventures to go on with my husband and son. I also love reading, yoga, theater, swimming, and baseball.
