My name is Julie Masters-Garcia. I am originally from San Antonio and moved to Houston in 2016. I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in History and from Lamar University with my Master’s in Counseling. I was a high school Social Studies teacher for 13 years before becoming a school counselor. Working with young people is my passion. Seeing students grow, change, and thrive is what makes the work worth it.  

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my husband and three kids. I also love to cook and take cooking classes to expand my repertoire.  

I look forward to making this year another amazing year at Austin High School.
