• 🚗 THS Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures

With the high volume of traffic around THS, it is essential that all parents understand and follow the procedures for student drop-off and pick-up. Your cooperation ensures convenience for all and—most importantly—the safety of our students.

    🕕 Arrival Guidelines

    • Primary Drop-Off Location Use the middle entrance (next to the school marquee) for students who do not drive or ride the bus.
    • Parent Drop-Off Lane This is strictly a drive-through lane. No parking or idling allowed Follow staff instructions and pull forward as far as possible before stopping 🔄 Keep gaps between vehicles to a minimum
    • Student Preparation Make sure your student exits quickly and safely from the right side of the vehicle. 📌 Guidance and conversation should happen before arriving—not in the drop-off lane.
    • Staff & Visitor Parking Lot (center of the circle) 🚫 Do not park or idle here for drop-offs. This lot is reserved for staff and visitors. Space is limited—please respect designated parking areas.
    • Southernmost Entrance 🚍 Reserved for faculty parking and bus access only. Students must not be dropped off or picked up in the faculty parking lot.
    • Bus Lot Guidelines Drop-offs allowed after 7:10 AM only Stay in a single-file line for safety and traffic flow

    🌧️ Weather Reminder

On rainy or foggy days, plan ahead and leave early. These conditions increase traffic congestion, so patience is appreciated.

    🚦 Dismissal Guidelines

    • Middle Entrance (next to the marquee) remains the only approved pick-up point for non-driving and non-bus-riding students.
    • Staff/Visitor Parking Lot 🛑 Do not park in this area during dismissal. Visitors use this space for appointments, music lessons, and meetings. Let’s keep it available.
    • Student Foot Traffic Awareness Be alert—students may walk from different directions across the lot and driveways. 🚷 Do not ask students to cross the parking lot or meet you on Harlem Road. Doing so endangers your child and others.

    📌 Final Reminders

    • Doors open at 6:30 AM—carpooling is encouraged!
    • 🛑 It is against state law to use a cell phone in a school zone—including the drop-off lane.
    • 🚫 Do not drop off or pick up along Harlem Road—it's unsafe and causes delays.
    • ️ Your cooperation helps us maintain a secure and welcoming environment for every student.
