My name is Rebecca Metcalf and this is my 17th year teaching ELA at the high school level. Previously, I have taught ELA I On-level/Pre-AP/AAC, ELA II On-level/Pre-AP/AAC, ELA III On-level/AP, ELA IV On-level/AP. This year I am teaching ELA II AAC and On-Level. I am so excited about this year!
I was born at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, so there is a special place in my heart for sleeping in a hammock under the stars.
Authors whose work I really enjoy are Neal Shusterman, Stephen King, and Jeffrey Deaver. Questionable motives, hidden agendas, and shady characters with a complex or two are my bread and butter of reading for fun.
At home, I have 2 boys who are seniors and 2 girls who are freshmen. In my family, we spend a lot of time outdoors: traveling, camping, fishing, hiking, exploring - we love it all!
