  • January is National Mentoring Month

    Join Fort Bend ISD’s volunteer Mentoring Team and make a positive difference in a child’s life

     

    FORT BEND ISD (December 14, 2016) – During National Mentoring Month, Fort Bend ISD will welcome adult, community members to join its Mentoring Team. Volunteer mentors will meet with students from all grade levels for 30-45 minutes each week. Interested individuals who have a desire to help students be successful in school, and life, are invited to attend a one-hour training session. The training will be held on Wednesday, January 11, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., in the FBISD Administration Building Board Room (16431 Lexington Blvd., Sugar Land 77479).

    Willowridge PTO Meeting 

    The next Willowridge PTO Meeting will be January 12, 2017 in the library at 6:30 pm.  We need all parents and teachers to join the PTO and participate in the meetings to help make our school a better place for our students and for the community.

    WATCH D.O.G.S.

    This program encourages participation by the men in the community.  We are looking for men who are willing to volunteer in the mornings from 7 am until 7:45 am to help direct traffic in the front circle at the school. Remember, all volunteers at public schools must first complete the background check by going to the District's web site.  Under parents, there is a place for volunteers and the background check.  If you need help completing this, please come in and I will assist you.  To volunteer, contact Dolores Collins at (281) 634-9800.

Parent Advisory Committee

  • Four WHS parents meet five times throughout the school year with the Parent Educator and members of the administration to plan and implement programs, activities and procedures supported by the Title I Program. The committee also discusses the culture and climate of the school as determined by surveys taken from the faculty, students and parents.
