  • UNICEF as a student organization at Willowridge High School seeks to empower members on their quest to stand as an organizing force in support of children everywhere:
    -promoting and championing children’s right to survive and thrive;
     -highlighting and echoing the need for equity, with a focus on the most vulnerable, particularly marginalized children; and
     -encouraging global citizenship and an understanding of our global interdependence.
    Doing these by taking action to:
    -challenge injustice and inequity at home and abroad;
     -empower youth to engage in meaningful activities that support the inclusion and participation of young people,

     

    In order to be a member of WHS UNICEF club, students must :
    Maintain an acceptable record of conduct and discipline to include criteria set by members regarding discipline referrals, attendance, academic effort and overall decorum.  Members must maintain high standards of professionalism and must demonstrate impartiality on political issues when representing UNICEF. Maintain updated contact info for your leaders and active participation.  GPA and discipline must comply with district and school policies.

    We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the Month after school at 3:00 (ish).
