I graduated from Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a B.A in English Education. Al so obtained a Master's of Education from UT Tyler. I have 27 years of teaching experience and have been an Eagle the past five years.  
 
As a teacher, my philosophy is simple; every child can learn. Some more quickly, some with greater support, but without exception, every child can learn. Guided by this principle, I incorporate strategies into my teaching to reach every student. In my classroom, success is not simply seen through grades, but is evident in intangibles such as integrity, responsibility and perseverance. To this end, I strive to meet the educational needs of every student because, above all else, I believe every child can learn.
 
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three sons, reading and watching movies/television.
