Hello! I am Tarska Waters, and I am excited to be part of the First Colony Middle School family this school year. I am a native of East Texas and over the past 20 years I have enjoyed teaching CTE/ Family and Consumer Science classes to both High School and Middle School students. In addition to teaching public school, I have worked in the capacity of Case Manager and Trainer for the Attorney General's Office Child Support Division as well as Workforce Solutions. I have successfully founded and served as lead mentor for Teen Girls Empowerment groups for over 10 years. I am a 1999 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services. When I am not spending time with my two sons, I enjoy being out at the lake, journaling, hosting community events and public speaking.
