Gifted and Talented at First Colony Middle School

  • Students identified in grades 6-12 are provided services through open enrollment Advanced Academic Courses (AAC) with GT-trained teachers in the core subject areas of English language arts, social studies, science, and mathematics.

Each student identified as GT will be placed in a GT-specific advisory course. The goal of this placement is to provide learning opportunities that challenge and develop students identified for gifted services through creative, self-directed learning. They will demonstrate their learning through the development of innovative projects that reflect students’ individuality, as well as through honed research skills and advanced critical thinking.
