I am so excited to be a returning Bobcat teacher, teaching 7th grade ELA and 7th grade PreAP ELA this year. This is my fourth year at FCMS and I know that together we can be successful. Last year I taught 6th grade ELA so I am moving up with a lot of my students. I have taught 7th grade before and I am excited to be move up with you guys.
I grew up in the Houston area and moved to Fort Bend County after I graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Go Bucs! My daughter graduated from Elkins High School in 2013 and is going to make me a grandma in January 2021! I live with my dog, Salem, and my cat named Cow. I enjoy travelling, eating out, reading and hanging with my family.
As a teacher, my goal is to inspire independent thinking in my students, instill a love of reading and writing, and prepare them for the road ahead. I hope to give my students a mental toolbox of skills to draw upon as they problem solve and navigate through life. I also hope to help them understand that mistakes are a part of the learning and growing process.
I look forward to working with you to have the best year ever!
