I am so excited to be a returning Bobcat teacher, teaching 6th grade ELA. I began teaching at FCMS in 2017 but have been with FBISD since 2005. I know that together we can be successful. I have taught 5th grade Reading and Writing, 6th grade ELA, and 7th Grade ELA.  I love my middle-age students and am excited to welcome our Bobcats back to school. 

I grew up in the Houston area and moved to Fort Bend County after I graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Go Bucs! My daughter graduated from Elkins High School in 2013 and has now made me a very proud grandma! I live with my dog, Salem, and my cat named Cow. I enjoy traveling, eating out, reading and spending time with my family.

As a teacher, my goal is to inspire independent thinking in my students, instill a love of reading and writing, and prepare them for the road ahead. I hope to give my students a mental toolbox of skills to draw upon as they problem-solve and navigate through life.  I also hope to help them understand that mistakes are a part of the learning and growing process.
