    2016 Referral Window Now Open

    August 22 – September 30

The Gifted & Talented Program is designed to meet the unique educational needs of gifted students.  Fort Bend ISD provides GT services in math, science, English language arts, and social studies at all grade levels and all District campuses.

To refer your child to be tested for the Gifted & Talented Program, complete one of the steps below.

    ·         Preferred Method: complete a parent referral form in Family Access

Family Access may be found at www.fortbendisd.com

    ·         Alternative Method: complete and return a referral form to the school counselor

The form is available for download at www.fortbendisd.com/gifted or may be obtained from your child’s counselor.

All referrals must be completed online through Family Access or returned to the school counselor by September 30, 2016. Kindergarten services begin March 1, 2017 and 1st - 11th grade services begin at the start of the 2017-2018 school year.  Students currently identified as Gifted and Talented do not need to be referred to maintain their current identification.  Identified students should only be referred if they wish to be tested for identification in additional subject areas.
