I was raised in a military household with both my mother and father in the Army. I have lived in Hawaii, different parts of Texas, and attended high school in Okinawa, Japan. During this time, I also had the opportunity to visit and perform in Japan, South Korea, and Guam. After graduating, I came back to the States to attend Texas Tech University (Wreck 'Em Tech, Go Red Raiders!), where I was a member of various campus organizations, including the Goin' Band from Raiderland and TTU Flute Choir (we have performed at TMEA and London with Paul-Edmund Davies!) I earned my Bachelor's in Music Education with a minor in American Sign Language from Texas Tech's J.T. and Margaret Talkington School of Visual and Performing Arts/School of Music, and have been teaching since 2018. I am a flute and piccolo player, and am currently a member of the Houston Symphonic Band! I am proficient on all instruments, primarily woodwinds, and love directing ensembles! In the summer of 2023, I got the opportunity to perform in Italy!
I have two Japanese dogs named Ronnie and Cherry, who are the cutest things on the planet and resemble foxes. I am also an avid reader (primarily reading Harry Potter for the 8th time) and an (almost) a published author! My favorite animes include Fairy Tail, Love is War, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Fruits Basket, and Haikyuu! I also work out every day, listen to far too much pop punk, metalcore, and K-Pop, and play far too much Kingdom Hearts, Persona, and Assassin's Creed to be considered healthy.
