Mrs. Christie Burton

I have worked as a teacher in public schools for seventeen years. Growing up in Fort Bend ISD taught me to be a life-long learner and I'm so excited to come back home to where my passion in education all began. My favorite years teaching were when I instructed sixth grade science. Science explains the wonderous world around us. To me, science is the poetry of our natural world.

I have a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies that I acquired at the University of Houston Downtown. For many years it was a dream of mine to obtain a Masters in Technology. This last May I graduated from the University of Houston Victoria with a Masters in Educational Technology.

I am the proud wife of a Houston Firefighter and mother to an eight-year old daughter. We spend as much family time as we can out experiencing our world through travel. Some of our adventures have included observations of the Total Solar Eclipse of 2017 and digging for fossils in Mineral Wells, Tx. I'm an amatuer astronomer, certified storm spotter, storm chaser, and photographer.
