About me...

I am a native Houstonian, but moved to Sugar Land when I was in elementary school.  I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I am a former Bobcat and my middle school teachers influenced me to follow my heart into secondary education.  I obtained my teaching degree from Texas State University-San Marcos in 2005. History and reading are both passions of mine and I enjoy passing on my love for knowledge and books to my students.

My teaching career began in Alief ISD, and then Hays CISD where I spent many years teaching 6th and 7th grade history.  I have been teaching at First Colony since 2013. As a former Clements Ranger and First Colony Bobcat, I am thrilled to be teaching in my hometown.

My husband and I live in Richmond with our son and daughter. We love the Houston Astros, watching movies, cooking, and spend A LOT  of our time at the soccer and softball fields.

I look forward to a great year at FCMS! Go Bobcats!
