Hello, My name is Derrick C. Coon. I graduated with my B.S. degree in Biology from Southern University and A&M College and I received my M.S. degree in Health Care Administration from Texas Southern University. I am a Life Science Teacher. This school year my focus will be on Aquatic Science and Environmental Systems.  I am also the Head Baseball Coach and the Associate Head Football Coach. This is my seventh year teaching and my fifth year at Willowridge.  I decided to become a teacher and a coach to make a difference in the lives of the students so they can positively impact the community. One of my favorite quotes is by Oscar Wilde, "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all." Furthermore, I expect my students to take advantage of the educational opportunity afforded to them.
