I.H. Kempner High school was named after Isaac Herbert Kempner (1873–1967), the founder of the Imperial Sugar Corporation, which established the City of Sugar Land in the early 1900s. Kempner High school opened in 1988 as the fourth high school in Fort Bend ISD. Our school is known for its diverse population and unique infusion of various cultures. Our campus is the land of sunshine and greatness!
