Dzuy "Chuck" Nguyen is a Biology and Principles of Arts/AV/TechComm (AAVTC) teacher at Kempner High School. He graduated from Baylor University in 1999 with a degree in Secondary Education and Biology. Mr. Nguyen has taught in Pasadena ISD, at Sugar Land Middle School, and was the instructional technology specialist here at Kempner for eight years. Afterward, he assisted school and district administrators in the realm of PEIMS (State reporting of student data in Texas) and in other areas related to student data. Having a child after having left the classroom has changed his world view and inspires him to return to teaching. He has been in his current position at Kempner High School since the 2018-19 school year.
Within the field of Biology, he particularly enjoys taxonomy, or the science of classification and identification, of flowering plants and insects. In his younger days, he has gone on trips to the middle of nowhere, looking for rare plants and insects. As a famous trainer once said, "Gotta catch them all!" In addition, he particularly enjoys photography and being the best Daddio to his daughter.
