The University Interscholastic League offers a wide variety of academic contests for high school students, encompassing many elements of required high school coursework. These contests build upon the academic skills developed in the classroom and offer students an opportunity to stretch their talents above and beyond those requirements.There are many competitive events: Ready Writing, Spelling and Vocabulary, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Accounting, Literary Criticism, Journalism, Mathematics, Number Sense, Calculator, Science, Prose, Poetry, Persuasive Speaking, Debate.Here is a description of each of the UIL Academic Contests Events.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE STUDENTS AND SPONSORS WHO COMPETED AT THE UIL ACADEMIC DISTRICT MEET. ALL STUDENTS PLACING IN THE TOP THREE IN THEIR EVENTS WILL ADVANCE TO REGIONALS!
