Ms. Stevens was born in Houston but grew up in Tucson, Arizona. She received her Bachelor’s in English from the University of Houston-Victoria. Before that, she spent two years in South Korea studying at the University of Maryland-Asia, where she taught conversational English. She received her MFA in Creative Writing in May 2024 from the University of Houston-Victoria and has additional certifications in Gifted and Talented Education. This will be her ninth year teaching at Kempner High School.
