Coach Michael Bevins

Coach Michael Bevins is a science teacher and coach at Kempner High School.

He graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Biology.  He was a member of the University of North Texas Track and Field team for 4 years as an athlete in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track.

This is his 15th year coaching and teaching.  Prior to Kempner High School, he was a science teacher at B.F. Terry High School and was the head boys soccer coach for 7 years.

At Kempner High School, Coach Bevins teaches Biology and Astronomy and is the Head Boys and Girls Water Polo coach and the Spring Tennis assistant coach.

Coach Bevins has lived in Sugar Land for the past 7 years and has three daughters. His oldest daughter is studying at the University of Houston and is pursuing Pre-Med.  His middle daughter is starting college this year and is studying Business with an accounting minor.  His youngest daughter is still in High School.

Coach Bevins always had a passion for science, for teaching, and for coaching.

He also enjoys trips to science museums and Texas state parks, enjoys fishing, and enjoys watching sports.

    After school tutorials will be held Tuesday afternoons from 2:50-3:10 p.m.
