Ms. Scheffie Lindquist
This is Ms. Lindquist's 6th year teaching Secondary English and her second year at Kempner. She is pleased and proud to have joined the Cougar Family. Ms. Lindquist currently teaches English II AAC and AP English Language & Composition. In her career, she has taught freshmen, sophomores and juniors. She does not have a favorite grade level because every year, each student offers new joys and unique challenges. When she is not reading student essays, Ms. Lindquist can be found kayaking, reading, and scrapbooking.
Ms. Lindquist attended Drake University in Des Moines, IA. and earned a bachelor's degree in Communications. Before she became a teacher, Ms. Lindquist was a newspaper reporter and investigative journalist. She is originally from Illinois and has lived in the Houston area for 10 years.
First Period : 7:30 - 8:20 - English II AAC

Fifth Period: 11:25 - 12: 55 - English II AAC (Lunch: 11:55-12:25)

Seventh Period: 1:55-2:45 - English II AAC
Ms. Lindquist holds tutorials twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 p.m. Tutorials may be held in-person or virtually over TEAMS, depending on the student's needs.
Within the English department, an English II teacher is available to help students with their questions four days a week. Students may go to any English II teacher for tutoring and to ask questions.
