Mr. Collin Beavers

Collin Beavers has been in education for over 5 years in the Houston area. Prior to Ronald Thornton Middle School, Mr. Beavers was the Assistant Director of Bands at Angleton Junior High in Angleton ISD where he taught all beginning woodwind classes and the Symphonic Band. Under his direction, the Angleton Junior High Symphonic Band received multiple UIL Sweepstakes awards. Prior to teaching in Angleton, Mr. Beavers taught Saxophone private lessons in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.

 

Mr. Beavers is a 2017 graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington. While at UT Arlington, Mr. Beavers studied Saxophone and conducting with Tim Ishii, Michael Morrison, Chris McGuire and Dr. Douglas Stotter, respectively. He was also an active member of the Maverick Marching Band, MavBrass, Saxophone Ensemble, and served as the Principal Saxophonist of the Symphonic Winds. Mr. Beavers was also a member of the 2015 Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps on mellophone and has served as a marching technician for the Keller Central High School and Richland High School Bands.

 

Mr. Beavers is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association. He maintains a small private lessons studio for saxophone in the Southwest Houston area. He is a proud native of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and enjoys using his free time to work out, go to the beach, and watch the Astros.
