Welcome to the 24-25 school year!

Hey there! I was born and raised here in Houston, Texas.I grew up in Missouri City, Texas.  I graduated from Willowridge High School. I can't tell you what year, because I'll be telling you my age. :)  After high school I went to Houston Community College to begin my career as an educator. After receiving a Bachelor's in Arts, I transferred to the University of Houston-Downtown. Four years later I graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Shortly after graduating, I started my career at Lake Olympia Middle School as an ELA teacher. A few years later, I transferred to Ronald Thornton Middle School as the new ESL teacher. ESL stands for English as a second language. Currently, I am teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade ESL and I wouldn't trade it for the word. I love to find ways to make learning fun and engaging. Building relationships is my specialty. I am the school mom for all of my babies. Failure is NOT an option. You will work in my classroom, no exceptions.

I have two wonderful children and amazing husband.

I love the outdoors,sports,traveling, binge watching tv, shopping and spending time with family!

My favorite candy: M&M with Almonds

My favorite sport is basketball( I can shoot a mean 3 point)

My favorite foods are pizza, seafood, and wings.

My favorite hobbies are gardening and yard work.

I love the Dallas Cowboys!

I am available through talking points. If you are not sure what talking points is, I will be sending out invites for the first and second week of school. This allows me to communicate with parents in their native language.  This is how we will communicate about your child's needs and academic success.
